The “12th ‘Start-up Jiangsu’ Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Competition (Nanjing Division) in 2024”, jointly organized by many provincial and municipal government agencies such as the Development and Reform Commission, the Science and Technology Bureau, the Publicity Department, and the Cyberspace Administration of Jiangsu Province, as well as multiple investment institutions and banks, came to an end after about three months of competition in Jiangsu Province. The award ceremony of the competition was held in the studio hall of Nanjing TV Station on November 21. This entrepreneurship and innovation competition is the most influential venture capital competition in the Jiangsu region and a high ground for innovative and entrepreneurial enterprises in Jiangsu Province and Nanjing City to compete.
A total of 35 scientific and technological innovation projects won awards in this competition, including 3 first prizes, 13 second prizes, and 19 third prizes.
This competition attracted a total of 791 enterprises from across the province to sign up. With the theme of “Leading the New Track, Innovating for the Future”, the competition covered five industry fields, namely the new generation of information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, biomedicine, and new energy/new energy vehicles/energy conservation and environmental protection. It was divided into the team group, start-up enterprise group, and growth enterprise group for the competition. After the preliminary review before the competition, industry rematches, provincial competitions, and finals, the final award-winning projects were produced through three rounds of competitions.
Nanjing Yitai Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. won the first prize with the project of “Vehicle-Grade Chips and Solutions Based on Ethernet Communication”. Its innovation background is to cope with the chip blockade against China by countries such as the United States and Europe, and it has made efforts in research and development to achieve the domestic substitution of in-vehicle TSN Ethernet switching chips.
Nanjing Zhonglong Bochuang Outdoor Products Co., Ltd. participated in the competition with the “WIPHA Ultra-Light ‘Zero’ Gravity Children’s Backpack Frame”. With excellent performances such as high growth potential, world-leading technical design in its field, and German quality certifications for the entire WIPHA series, the enterprise won praise and finally won the third prize in the growth group in this competition. During the process of participating in this competition, Nanjing Zhonglong Bochuang attracted the interest and attention of some investment institutions. Three investment institutions have shown investment interest and are currently in further contact. Meanwhile, two high-tech parks in Nanjing are willing to welcome Nanjing Zhonglong Bochuang Company to settle there with favorable conditions.
